Two Northeast Ohio spas have received prestigious recognition, securing spots on the esteemed list of Top 100 Spas of America. Compiled annually by Spas of America, an online travel site specializing in the spa and wellness industry, this list highlights outstanding spa destinations across North America.
Aurora’s Spa Walden at the Walden Inn claimed the 23rd position on the list, while Gervasi Vineyard Resort and Spa in Canton secured the 55th spot. Remarkably, these two spas represent the sole Ohio properties on the distinguished list.
Gervasi's spa, operational since April 2023, boasts 5,000 square feet of luxurious amenities, including a tranquility lounge, couple’s suite, and a diverse range of available treatments. Meanwhile, Spa Walden, in operation since 2008, features individual spa suites, a Vichy Suite, a couple’s suite, and other lavish amenities.
Other noteworthy regional spas recognized on the list include Immerse Spa at the MGM Grand Detroit (No. 14), Nemacolin in Farmington, Pennsylvania (No. 64), and the Greenbrier Spa in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia (No. 74).
The annual compilation is based on page views and reviews contributed by spa and wellness travel enthusiasts. The list encompasses 81 spas in the United States, 14 in Canada, and five in Mexico.
Securing the top three positions on the list are the Spa at Sec-he in Palm Springs, California; Red Mountain Resort in Ivins, Utah; and Sunstone Spa at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage, California.
